Accessibility to the nature reserve

At the end of WHARF LANE

At the end of Wharf Lane there is a kissing gate with a red radar padlock. So the gate can be opened wide enough for wheelchair and mobility scooter access.

You can buy a radar key from the library.

Accessibility to the Hides

  • There is a ramp to the North Pool Hide so wheelchairs and mobility scooter can access this hide.
  • The South Pool Hide has 5 steps to access. The path is fairly soft as it is covered with wood chips which might make it difficult for wheelchairs.
  • Tower hide is a tall hide overlooking the salt marsh and estuary. So unfortunately it has multiple steps.
